I realized that the lack of motivation could be due to a change in hormones or a change in Emmett's nursing. I remembered that moments like this are exactly why I had my placenta encapsulated after Emmett's birth! For those of you who are thinking, "She's F*#(&ing NUTS - who EATS a placenta?!?!" Just hear me out. I didn't fry it up and eat it. I had it dried and turned into "vitamins." When you really look at the process and reasoning behind it, you learn that your body loses nutrients and such during birth that you were just depending on for 9 months. By encapsulating the placenta and taking a few pills on days that you feel "off," you are aiding the body in getting back to the 100% it should be. So needless to say, I've been "popping a few pills" the past few days and am starting to feel better! My toes have been painted; I finished a good run and taught two ROCK ON hard bootcamps. I've been sleeping better and have had more energy. I say the win goes to the placenta pills. :)
Scarlett and I played with water outside and inside on Thursday! Scarlett "swam" in her swim suit in the big tub, and we filled coolers outside and poured, measured, dunked, and splashed.
Friday flew by. I had new brakes put on my car, taught bootcamp(s) and arrived home just before my mom drove in for the weekend. The resolution was to try something new. I am pulling at straws here, but I did broil fish for dinner and that is new for me. I bake, grill, and pan sear fish, but never have I broiled it. Blackened tilapia, fresh green beans, rice, and beans were served (and loved).
Today's Resolution: Try a new restaurant.
I'm a little mad that we didn't plan more ahead on this one. Mimi (my mom) is here - we totally could have had a free babysitter! But we had already bought and planned chili and other meals for the weekend (and week ahead). So, my mom and I decided to try a restaurant for lunch. The Green Truck in downtown Savannah has a 5 star rating. Well of course (on a Saturday at 12:45pm) it was packed. The wait time was beyond possible for us (and two little ones in tow). So we just hit up a Firehouse Subs. I'm still hoping to try The Green Truck this weekend though! Fingers are crossed.
On a happy note: We shopped at Publix today and saved about $60 :) GO COUPONS!!!
Tomorrow's resolution: Ride Bikes!
