I have had several friends and followers ask about cloth diapering, why we love it, and how it works "exactly." Instead of rewriting what is already out there, I've found 3 great sites who have summed it up so well :) But I am more than happy to answer any questions...

We have been using cloth diapers since Scarlett was 8 weeks old. She was out of diapers by 20 months and fully potty "learned" by 22 months. Emmett arrived 2 months later and his butt has never seen a "paper" diaper. The cloth diapers have kept his bottom cute since day one! We chose to use pocket diapers and have had no problems with them. Since they became a slight* obsession for me, I started to make them (I make all-in-twos). Because I was saving money by making them (www.sweetredbird.com), I made a LOT of them. Let's just say that our diaper stash is well into the 100's.
They are easy to handle (as well as adorable) - you do a cold rinse, a hot wash (with detergent), and a cold rinse - then dry them on low for an hour. That's it. EASY! Not to mention, environmentally friendly.
I highly suggest looking into this for your child. I don't know one person who has regretted making the switch.
Not to mention your child looks this cute:
*slight = BEYOND huge... more of like a "spend every extra cent on diapers" kind of obsession
