John "picked" Scarlett up for her first date. Scarlett even had her hair blow-dried for the event! (Way to go Mommy :) Scarlett is in love with princesses, but Aurura, Belle, and Ella (Cinderella) are her favorites (even though she's never actually seen the movies). Today's "Daddy/Daughter Date Night" resolution timed perfectly with the release of Beauty and the Beast in 3D. Scarlett has never been to a movie theater before, but she loves movies... and popcorn. hehehe. She's dressed the part and even pulled out her "good" jewelry (haha). John was in heaven loading her into the car and sent me pictures from his phone throughout the movie of her face! They should be home anytime. I'm so glad that we are doing these resolutions. They may just be little "things" to some people, but these are the little things that could go by without notice on a day-to-day basis. We have been forced (willingly and happily) to complete these resolutions together everyday (so far) and I truly think we have already become stronger as a family unit!
So Daddy/Daughter date means that Emmett and I had the house to ourselves!
I lit a bunch of candles and started the fireplace. I stuffed diapers, nursed Emmett and caught up on all the facebook gossip before I realized that a Disney movie is probably only an hour or so long - haha. I'm pouring a glass of wine and awaiting John and Scarlett for dinner. We are going to cuddle up around the fire tonight and enjoy each other's company!
Tomorrow's Resolution: Call and chat with a friend you've been meaning to call for a long time!
