Bedtime Stories

Surprisingly enough, Scarlett is asleep already.  She told me earlier, "Mommy, me tummy hurt." So I have a feeling that has a little to do with the "early" bedtime.  She is normally up with us until we are all ready to hit the pillows.  But I will not complain about a little adult-time tonight!  Well, scratch that... Emmett is still up, but he can be entertained by a "Johnny Jumper."  hehe.

Proof that she's in bed before we were tonight:

The early bedtime allowed for a story to be read as soon as John arrived home from work, but before he left again to go clay shooting with co-workers.  The timing was perfect.  We curled up on the couch and took turns reading to Scarlett. We read to her all the time, but never passing the book back and forth and "sharing" the story.  This will become a more common event in our house!

Tomorrow's Resolution:   Roast Marshmallows!
